For founders

Talk faster than you can context-switch.

Investor updates dictated at speed. Board meetings, customer interviews, and one-on-ones recorded with on-device Meeting Notes. The AI chat reading whatever you have open. Three tools, one app, nothing about your company leaves the Mac.

In practice

How founders use Dollop.

  1. 01.

    The monthly investor update, dictated.

Talk through the wins, the losses, the asks the way you'd brief a partner over coffee. Dollop cleans the rough cut into a paragraph that reads like you wrote it carefully, because the substance is exactly what you said.

    Heard

this month we hit a hundred thousand in MRR, signed two enterprise pilots, and lost one to a competitor on price. asks: warm intros to anyone running RevOps at a Series B SaaS, and a refresher on hiring playbooks for first ten engineers.

  2. 02.

Record investor calls, board meetings, and customer interviews.

Hit ⌃ R when the call starts. Meeting Notes captures system audio (Zoom, Meet, FaceTime) plus your mic, transcribes locally, and produces a summary with action items in seconds. No Otter cloud upload, no Granola subscription, no Fireflies bot in the meeting.

    Heard

action items: send the term sheet draft to legal by EOD. follow up with sarah about the hiring intro. revisit pricing tier 2 after thursday's pricing offsite.

  3. 03.

Ask the AI chat about anything on screen.

⌃ S opens a multi-turn chat overlay with optional screen context. Reading a competitor's pricing page? Ask it to extract the tiers. Reviewing your own deck? Ask for tighter slide copy. Stays open while you keep working.

  4. 04.

Customer replies and Slack at native speed.

Reply to the angry customer the way you'd talk to them face to face. AI chat (⌃ S) can soften the language without losing the substance, and the per-app tone matching makes Mail formal, Slack casual, Linear terse.

Why it fits

Why founders care.

On-device privacy that holds up to diligence.

If you're doing anything in a regulated space, health, finance, legal, defense, cloud meeting notes are a non-starter. Dollop's audio never leaves your Mac across all three pillars. No third-party AI vendor in the data path. Verifiable architecture.

0 GB of RAM. Your laptop stays fast.

Demos, Zooms, decks open at the same time. Local Whisper apps eat 1–2 GB of memory. Dollop adds nothing across dictation, chat, and Meeting Notes, Apple Foundation Models is already in the OS.

Names recognized verbatim.

Every founder has a thicket of company names, product names, vendor names, investor names that off-the-shelf dictation gets wrong. Dollop AI is fine-tuned to keep them intact, in dictation and in Meeting Notes transcripts. Add a custom vocabulary for the rest.

Free, no procurement cycle.

No subscription, no team-tier license, no per-minute meeting pricing, no credit card. Install on every founder's Mac in the company without a budget conversation. Built to be the default voice tool, not a vendor relationship.

Asked & answered

Questions, answered.

Is Dollop safe for sensitive company work? +
Yes. The dictation pipeline, the AI chat, and Meeting Notes are all on-device by architecture: speech recognition runs on Apple's Neural Engine, cleanup and summaries run on Apple Foundation Models on-device, and there is no network call in any of those paths. Full privacy posture here.
Can Dollop record Zoom and Google Meet? +
Yes. Meeting Notes captures system audio (so it picks up everyone in the call) and your mic, transcribes locally, and produces a summary with action items. No bot in the call, no browser plugin, nothing uploaded.
How does it compare to Otter, Granola, Fireflies, and Read.ai? +
Those tools upload audio to a server for cloud transcription, train models on user data unless you opt out, and route recordings through a third party. Dollop's Meeting Notes runs entirely on-device, so investor calls, board meetings, customer interviews, and hiring conversations stay where they belong, on your Mac.
Can I roll this out to my whole team? +
Yes. Dollop is free per Mac with no licensing. Most founder-led teams just share the install link. We can also help with bulk MDM deployment for teams over 50, reach out.
How does it compare to Wispr Flow? +
Wispr Flow is $15/month, cloud-routed (audio processed by third parties including OpenAI, Anthropic, Cerebras), and adds 700 MB of overhead. Dollop is free, on-device, 0 GB, and adds Meeting Notes that Wispr Flow doesn't have. Full comparison.
What about HIPAA, SOC 2, or other compliance frameworks? +
On-device dictation and on-device meeting notes remove the most common compliance concern (cloud routing of regulated data). Dollop processes everything on-device with no third-party services. Formal certifications with signed BAAs are on the roadmap; for regulated environments today, the on-device architecture is the right starting point.
Does it integrate with my CRM, email, and Slack? +
It works system-wide, Dollop pastes clean text at your cursor in any app, including Gmail, Outlook, Salesforce, HubSpot, Slack, Linear, Notion, and your terminal. Meeting Notes summaries copy out as plain text or Markdown, drop them anywhere.
Hardware requirements? +
Apple Silicon (M1+) on macOS 26 with Apple Intelligence enabled. Most founder Macs already qualify.

You're optimizing every minute already. Your typing speed, your meeting notes, your follow-ups, none of them should be the bottleneck. Download Dollop and dictate the next investor update, with the last board call already transcribed and waiting.
